Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies are reading, going out with friends, watching movies and traveling. I grew up in Canada and moved to Greece when I was thirty years old. I have also visited the U.S.A many times. I have visited many countries in Europe. Each country has its own unique beauty. I loved Budapest, Thessaloniki and Madrid. Vancouver and Seattle are also my favorites. Now I live in Madrid, Spain.

Dear Teacher Ellie, Thank you for correcting gain. I thought "joe job" means "miscellaneous task". I just wanted to paraphrase "chore". But I looked up a dictionary and found that joe job means has another meaning of what you wrote. I shouldn't use joe job for "chore". Thank you for teaching me. Best regards, lisbeth

Dear teach Ellie, Thank you for correcting my writing. I've been taking painting lessons for more than one year, and I am learning and drawing for years to come. I don't think I am talented, but I can enjoy and concentrate during the time of drawing, which makes me refreshed. I sometimes visit museums when my favorite artist's works are on display. In Spain I went to some famous museums including Prad museum. I was overwhelmed though, it was a good memory. I like the word "carte blanche" . I want to use it soon. Best, lisbeth

Dear teacher Ellie, Thank you for correcting my writing again. I don't think I can fully imagine what living in foreign country as a freelancer is like though, there must be some times you have to endure loneliness. Even though I've been living in my own country with my husband, I sometimes feel alone. I always seek someone I can reveal myself to. So my writing often becomes a bit self-disclosure. I want to be able to explain my feelings in a better way, and I'd love you to correct continuously my writing. Thank you again for some advice. Best, lisbeth

Thank you very much for both editing my composition and proposing alternative sentences. I really appreciate your kindest way of teaching non-native students to learn more useful and natural English writings. By the way, I am also surprised to know that Spain is, as a whole, exceeding Japan in social welfare level. I hope that the benefit of such a high level welfare will be prolonged to the future generations without enlarging financial deficit of Spain.

Dear Teacher Ellie, Thank you for correcting my writing again. And thank you for giving me advice on how to deal with this situation. Not that this is anything new, and she often has same problems with other co-workers. But I have to admit that she has some good characteristics, too, and I also make mistakes time to time. In other words, she is very interesting person. She is now 57 years old, single, having no particular hobbies, having no intimate friends. She has neither a cell phone nor PC at home, so she doesn't have any friends on line. Still, she is always head-up and full of confidence. ( I wonder what the confidence is based on?) By " she is a quite character", I wanted to say that she is odd and very stubborn. I should have written in other way. Thank you again. Best lisbeth

Dear Teacher Ellie, Thank you for correcting my writing again. As you wrote, it was funny when I took part on the conversation between three of us. The brother in law often asked me about my husband, even though we three were on the same table. He is a truly nice person and he and my husband actually gets along with each other. Thank you for some advice on my errors. Best, lisbeth

Hi Ellie P. Thank you for teaching. I learned a lot about tense from your advice. Your answer to my question is very clear. The shop where I found the nice rucksack is far. If I think the rucksack is the best after after checking out other rucksacks, I'll go to the store to examine it throughly before purchasing it. Then I can purchase it in the store. All the best, Oldcar

Thank you very much for your great lessons as always. In regards of the flats in Boston, unfortunately I don't think there are many flats with Japanese style bathroom... I've never heard about it. What my Japanese friend is doing is that he bought a shower head through Amazon, even though the buthtub is western style. Plase let me know if you need further information.

Dear teacher Ellie, Thank you for correcting my writing as usual. In the last sentence, as you pointed out I should have wrote "rooms of my house". That's my intention. Thank you for noticing me that. When I visited Seville, we were very impressed with their foods and culture. Since then I often went out to see Flamenco dance when famous dancers came to Japan. What most interested us was their lifestyle. The people took a long lunch time, some of them got a nap. They appeared to enjoy their life much more than our Japanese people did. I really want to visit there and, if possible, I'd love to see you. Best lisbeth

Dear teacher Ellie P, Thank you for correcting my writing. I'm happy to hear you having a great time in Seville. My honeymoon travel was in Seville 23 years ago. I stayed in Hotel Dona Maria 2 nights in Seville, 2 nights in Barcelona, and 1 night in Madrid. I really love Seville. A painting of a bridge of Seville has been on the wall in my living room since then. Reading your comment, I want to visit there again, if possible in Christmas season. Thank you! Best, lisbeth

Dear Teacher Ellie_P, Thank you for correcting my writing again. Your rewrite is really helpful. Even though I could not memorize all of them, I will read loud them out at least 10 times. BTW thank you for telling me nice words about my diary. I agree with you and your friends on how our body and emotion link and we are influenced by our own thoughts. As you write, I want to see positive sides and keep myself in good mood. Thanks. Best lisbeth

Thank you very much for your corrections and advices. I'm learning a lot from you. Your understanding is right. I wanted to say car "seat" but misspelled. Because the infant car seat is rear-facing, he couldn't look at outside the windows but only could look at the back seats. Now with the new car seat which is forward facing, he can look at outside. I hope that my explanation is clear enough.

Hi Ellie, Thank you for correcting this text and suggesting the additional sentences. I like your "Hours melt into days, and weeks into months in lightning speed" very much. It's beautiful as if I was viewing a picture postcard of a sunset in Agean Sea! I wish I could write like this poetic sentence. Many thanks as always, Kaori
