Oh! 'whether' is misspelling! Sorry for that! Anyway, I was surprised that you know about our news related to floods in Kyushu very well. Yes, in some areas, we had serious damage. I hope all people are in safe not only in Japan, but also in the whole world. Thanks and see you soon!

thank you fpr your message. I looked into a dictionary, "truth serums' is correct. Specifically, that is called" labonar", which the spelling is not sure at all. I wrote it from sound. It is overcast here in Japan, too. The rainy season will end very soon. Best regards.

Thank you for pointing out my grammatical error. Teru's age is between 24 and 34. Ever since Japan was defeated, GHQ ruled Japan for the time being. But, GHQ is almost same as the allied supreme commander, Douglas MacArthur. Far from reconstructing Japan's aftermath, he didn't even think of it. He wanted Japan to stay weak in order not to oppose against the US again. Yet, it is ironic that the cold war already started between the US and Russia and the proxy war was about to begin at Korean peninsula.MacArthur knew better than to do nothing. Since he wanted to have Japan being shield, GHQ had to help that Japan become strong enough to help the forthcoming Korean war. It was also ironic that since the Korean war truly started in 1950 and Japan received plenty of orders from UN for the war tools excluding weapons, Japan could escape from the one of the poorest country.

Thank you for your correction. Last week, in my hometown, Kagoshima, where I have everyday mentioned, unfortunately encountered the big flood, and some places were destroyed by menace of Nature https://edition.cnn.com/2020/07/06/asia/japan-flooding-kumamoto-kagoshima-intl-hnk/index.html Although this is the quite shocking photo, the central Kagoshima city where my parents keep on living continuously from my grandparents did't face any flood. Best regards.

Thank you for your comments. In a Japanese TV news show, presenters are keeping so much distance to sit in the studio. those are looked so much weird. I wonder if they are talking with normal distance after taking TV. Best regards.

Thank you for reading my story. The war caused always unusual. This story was My mother's side. Speaking of my father's side, my grandparent had 9 children since they had already abandoned 9 survived after the war. They thought more than half children would die and they also thought the children was the one who had to dedicate the country. But, the after the WWⅡ, the situation changed a lot. Once the emperor announced that Japan lost the war in real voice, people noticed the emperor was a physically human being. After that, people even did protest that people were starving and distribute the rice to the people, in front of the imperial palace. That another aspect. Best regards

Thank you for your message. That was a book, which became a school book in the US. https://www.amazon.com/Bamboo-Grove-Yoko-Kawashima-Watkins/dp/0688131158/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=So+Far+From+the+Bamboo+Grove&qid=1594302928&sr=8-1 But, since Korean protested that the book shouldn't be used in American school, that system ended. Your dad was brave. Just after the war, In order for My grandmother not to be been seen lady, she or all Japanese ladies had their hair cut very short or shave and painted mud to their face. That is because not to be seen lady. Otherwise Russian soldiers take them and rape. Because late of the WWⅡ, main Russian soldiers were sent to Europe to conflict to German. Since soldiers in East Russia were not enough, additionally, many prisoners were also sent as Russian soldiers. Best regards
