So, I though I needed to write a conditional sentence, "If they have kept their own diet and might have eaten the turtles as a last resort to survive." Because this idea was just my imagination. In the last sentence, "we shouldn't push the boundaries of nature, "the stronger prey upon the weaker", this phrase and the quotation were my bold challenge. I'm very happy that you still wrote the same in your rewriting. Additionally, you use 'even though' and 'however' together in it. Both are negative meaning. I'm a bit surprised. Is it an emphasizing?
