Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I understand that the expression 'more apt to' means 'more likely'. By the way, I think that the internet has changed circumstances of employees. Before the internet become common, it is difficult for workers to claim their requests and hope without joining labor unions. Once they join labor unions to make your point, subsequently the unions ask them to collaborate expanding the activities of the unions. Many young people feel constrained by the demands of the unions. So workers often avoided union activities. However, as the internet come to real, they can show their opinions and upload their videos on the web. Now, people can freely tell to others what they desire under the anonymity. As a result, people seemed to change their thoughts that they give priority for family responsibility. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Since I started reading books, I have learned to be more thoughtful about things. Books teach me things about the world that I don't know. It is not easy for me to learn about the unfamiliar world I don't know. Reading novels allows me to experience a variety of worlds I am unfamiliar with. Take for example "A town where I'm the only one missing" (Boku Dakega Inai Machi in Japanese). This novel is the story of a protagonist who has the power to return to the past. He returns to the past to avoid the tragedy that befalls him and those around him, and it is a mystery in which he fights the tragedy at the fatal risk of his life. The main character is a 10-year-old elementary school boy. A tragedy occurred when his classmate Kayo was murdered. Kayo was abused by her mother and was beaten every day again and again. Noticing this, her homeroom teacher had Kayo take sleeping pills and put her in a freezer to euthanize her in order to save her from suffering. Realizing that something tragic happened to Kayo, the boy went back in time and risked his life to jump into the crisis to realize what happened and save Kayo. Thanks to his help, the teacher's attempts to euthanize her failed many times. The homeroom teacher questioned: Why does the euthanasia fail? Subsequently when he realized that the boy was saving her life. Consequently, the teacher allured the boy to have a cup of coffee with sleeping pills, and put sleeping boy in the passenger seat of a car, and sank the car into a lake. He should have just been killed. By chance, there was a passerby whose car was sinking into the lake rescued him. However, he was a kind of brain dead with deep coma and his doctors declared that he would never come to. However, his mother did not believe doctors' words, and she patiently cared for him alone at her home for the eight years(The mother doesn't get married.) Her mother talked to him every day, played his favorite music, and continued to massage his body every day. This novel is also a novel about the power of love. Love allows you to overcome any difficulties or hardships. This book emphasizes the importance of fighting against fate and the desire to save those you love at all costs. Miraculously, he woke up and remembered what happened before he became deep coma, and reveals who will really be judged. And his homeroom teacher was finally arrested. Non-fiction story actually doesn't go well like this novel. Although some people have commented that the story is too good to be true, the message this book conveys is still powerful. I think that the author of this novel want to convey the power of love that can give individuals the strength to overcome any suffering or hardship. I also believe so. I like Martin Luther's famous quote: "Even if tomorrow the world were to end, today I would plant an apple tree." Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. At first, I started writting short essays in the IDIY service to pass the EIKEN English proficiency test eight years ago. Once I write my thoughts down, I noticed that it is a fun time and I can feel myself growing. As a result, daily topics of the IDIY have informed a variety of happnings that I am not familiar with. These topics are interesting and informative for me. Therefore, I cannot but continue forming my opinions even now. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I think technology will change our lives. Don't you think so too? When digital books become available, books will become obsolete, but I think audiobooks will become popular. When I used to read books on paper, my eyes got tired and I could read no more than 10 books a month. However, since I started using audiobooks, I now listen to 30 books a month. As I got used to it, I was able to hear the text with my ears and it resonated with me in the same way as when I was reading it. I think bookstores will disappear, but I think the audiobook business will flourish and new reading style by listening to audiobooks will become commonplace. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Teachers should repeatedly remind students of the rigors and hardships after the onset of their work. In actual work, machines are responsible for performing simple tasks. More and more workers are working in service industries, such as sales, education, and health and welfare jobs. Therefore, students have to acquire the ability of critical thinking and finding answers depending on situations. Tackling difficult challenges will give students the strength to live in the future. Cheating must be stopped to raise their capabilities. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Aging is a serious crisis for the Japanese government. The government cannot come up with effective solutions yet. It is said that if this trend continues, Japan's medical and welfare system will definitely collapse. Digitalization of healthcare system is essential to leading to significant savings in healthcare costs and preventing bankruptcy of the social security . Japan, becauseu of the world's oldest nation, seems to be conducting a social experiments of the most elderly country that will be very helpful to other nations. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I understand that I should use "one" at first time. When I was a university student, I visited a fitness gym to work out. However, after I started working, I regularly take a walk in the evening due to a lack of spare time. Although the environment of the training room is comfortable, I don't have a time to go to the gym. Naturally, I changed doing exercise around my residence. It is still enjoyable for me and a good way to say hello to my neighbors. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Thank you, as always.
Thank you for your prayer for my father!
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Yes, I meant that middle-aged people do cycling. Now, in Japan, it is said that there are 60 million motor vehicles among 120 million people. It means that almost every adult has their own car because the number of children and elderly people subtracted from the total number. Naturally, traffic congestions occur in urban areas frequently. Hence, the number of young adults who commute by bicycle are rising to avoid stuck in traffic. In addition, as global warming is being called out, they regard their behaviors as a eco-friendly way to reduce fossil fuel consumption. Therefore, local governments should make bike lanes to have safety environment for cyclists. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Yes, Japanese crested ibises became extinct in Japan. There are still many in China. I lacked enough explanation.
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Tourism, restaurants and souvenir shops are now the main businesses in the local economy. Many rural municipalities are trying to increase the number of tourists by advertising on the Internet. On the other hand, too many tourists can lead to overtourism, with people littering, not knowing the traffic rules, and destroying tourist spots. I think if the local residents could speak more English, they would be able to carefully explain to visitors what to be careful of and protect tourist spots. I think overtourism shows the need to learn English. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I feel sorry for you for having to go through such a terrible experience when you were in Madrid for the first time. As you say, in a multi-ethnic country, a sense of comradeship comes into play only within their groups. As a result, more and more people start thinking that all they need to do is for themselves. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
Thank you for your feedback and sharing your fond story with your son!
Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Although it is a bit troublesome to do daily routines for 9000 steps, daily exercises make me active and healthy due to reduction of my body weight. When I am lazy, my body weight increases and I feel tired easily. That is why I keep my daily tasks for being productive. Since muscles can be trained, I would like to keep physical strengthes to enjoy daily life. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
