Teacher Ellie_P I agree with the theme that is showed in the film Nyad the other day. I think that the film emphasizes the power of hope. Despite her repeated failures, she never giving up her ambition. While keeping her enthusiasm, she could have support from her surrounding people. Eventually, she has realized her dream. Her long-term challenges with a lot of effort can reveal the importance of having hope. That is why her story is impressive and fruitful to movie watchers. I am totally for her spirit that is the power of hope. I am also challenging to fulfill my life while spending time to learn new knowledge and practicing anti-aging. I am not a person who oppose plastic surgery, but I have no idea taking artificial beauty. Instead, I regurally practice having healthy diet and regular exercise for anti-aging so that I maintain to be active and productive. I understand that 'if there are chances related to them' is wrong grammatically and a bit vague. Thank you for corrections that are uesful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P I understand that 'decent and humble thoughts' is not so correct grammatically. I should have written that 'explained well and modest(not obtrusive) thoughts'. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Before I knew the issues regarding Japanese orphans left behind in China during World War 2, I opposed restrictions to control accepting foreign students in Japan. The orphans are caused with sad situations of Japanese citizens who lived in China in 1940's. When China defeated Japan Army in the war, Japanese civilians in China were forced to escape from persecution. During their run, many Japanese parents had difficulty accompanying their children, so they decided giving their children to Chinese residents who didn't have a child. After 30 years passed, when the orphans become adults, many hoped to go back to Japan because of economic prosperity. Given the importance of this orphane issue, the Japanese government decided accepting them into Japan while providing Japanese nationality. However, once they came to Japan, they already have their families and many brought their families. Subsequently, there were a lot of troubles between the orphan's people and Japanese residents. Lunguage barrier, and differences of culture and tradition had became obvious. No one could not find answers regarding this difficult situation yet. I believe that diversity should be realized to create prosperous society, but it is very difficult to practice in actual situations. In case of Japan, the first thing that Japanese governent have to do is to raise English proficiency among Japanese citizens. As the citizens will elevate English communication skill, they will know diversity and tolerance to those who have different thoughts and beliefs through the internet. Since drastic changes may lead to serious troubles, long time transformation is beneficial for newcomers and residents to realize diversified society. I anticipate that the restriction in Today's topic will naturally cause competition among applicants to be enrolled in the UK universities. Consequently, the applicants have to be familiar with the UK society while making a effort. Such circumstance will contribute foreigners to have more respect to the UK. On the other hand, the regurations will provide a sense of relief to the UK's residents because they don't have to worry rapid increase of foreign students. In the long period of time, gradual diversification is practical not to cause squables and animosity in communities. Therefore, I believe that this kind of restrictions are justified to create diversified society. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Yes, I strike up a conversation with the driver. When helping the driver whose vehicle gets stuck, it is common that I work while chatting something to kill the stressfull time. Therefore, as a result,I unintentionally strike up a conversation with the drivers for around 5 to 10 minutes until the car gets unstuck. In particular, in this week, a severe cold wave hit northern part of Japan including Kanazawa, resulting blizzards in these twodays. Weather forecast gave warning not to go out except for essential reasons. Snow piled up around 20cm on roads and residents have to shovel to remove snow in front of their houses. In this situation, staying at home is a safe way while having delicious sea food dishes. Since outside is very freezing, fish also have to be fat to survive. Residents know how to enjoy in chilly winter in Kanazawa. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P I agree that obsession for playing video games may devastate player's daily life. My younger son is one of the users who are obsessed watching YouTube videos on smartphone screen. He always bring his smartphone day and night to watch videos. I also nagged him to limit the time to continue focusing on the screen. I repeatedly explained him the negative influences of smartphone addiction such as not only eye problem but also difficulty doing daily rutines and assignments. Recently, he purchased a container with time locking system in which he can leave his smartphone. He seems to try treating himself with his addiction. Long term nurture is helpful for him to be independent and restrain from his obsession. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Thank you for your kind words of comfort. He was one year old when we got him. We are going to bury him in our garden, though we are leaving this house in three years. When we move to Iwate, we will not be able to bring his body, but I have lots of his feathers because I've collected his fallen ones.

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for having an interest in Kanazawa. Generally, residents in my city are healthy thanks to a lot of delicious sea food. As a result of sea food paradice, they usually eat fish instead of meat. While living here, I regurally eat healthy ingredients such as sea food and vegetables without realizing it. There are a lot of fresh sea food at community super market everyday with reasonable prices. The thing that I should pay attentionto is the amount of salt intake that is a chief culprit of hypertention and stroke. Since Japanese cuisine abuse salt to make dishes delicious, low salt cooking has become popular nowadays as Japanese society ages. Currently, many citizens aspire to be in good health in their old age and prefer putting healthy aging in practice to be productive. I am also active to having low-carb diet with healthy dishes like sea food and vegetables. Occasionally, sweets and oily dishes are insurmountable to indulging myself in eating them a lot. Before having these unhealthy dishes, I regurally make it custom that I eat one pint of tomato can before these high calorie items so that I can avoid taking too much calories. I have two sons and would like to be in good health until they are independent. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for your interesting about our city Kanazawa, which is one of the popular travel destinations. My area is famous for a variety of delicious sea food like Hokkaido. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/24/travel/japanese-food-tokyo-restaurants.html?searchResultPosition=2 Many residents and companies rely on a travel industry, so they are happy to hear the pandemic ended after a long term of lockdown.
