Dear Ellie, Thank you for your comments on my writing. Many people who want to immigrate to Japan assert that they are facing hardships to live in their countries for political reasons even though their actual reason is to seek better lives for an economic perspective. It is true to a certain level that their economically challenged life is caused by the political measures conducted by the current government in their country. However, we cannot regard them as refugees only with this fact because we have a concreate definition of “refugee” of person who are suffered or most likely to be suffered from persecution because of race, religion, or politics. I just wanted to express this idea in my writing within the limited number of characters. I am sorry for confusing you by my halfway and poor explanation. Best regards, Tinkle
Dear Ellie, Thank you very much for lots of corrections, advices and ideas for alternatives. I guess I gave you so much work, sorry.... I tried to put much things in such a short sentence, thus I focused on how much I could cut to make it short, that caused me to know my wrong understandings this time. I tried to use participial construction and semicolon, but it seems it didn't work well. (Another teacher also told me that the phrase needed subject) I may ask about these gramatical questions on the next chance. This time, I could find some wrong expressions I have ever used. The tax system started in 2008 to revitalize rural areas, where are suffering from declining of tax revenue, because more and more young people are moving to urban areas. It means that we can pay some amount of tax to the municipality in our hometown instead of were we live. The delicacies I got in the past are fresh fruit, seafood, and so on.
