Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies are reading, going out with friends, watching movies and traveling. I grew up in Canada and moved to Greece when I was thirty years old. I have also visited the U.S.A many times. I have visited many countries in Europe. Each country has its own unique beauty. I loved Budapest, Thessaloniki and Madrid. Vancouver and Seattle are also my favorites. Now I live in Madrid, Spain.

“Does she want to go, or does she feel she is forced to want to go?” I mean, she wants to go.

Thank you for sharing about your Easter! I would like to home stay and celebrate it with a Christian family someday, since it might feel different and a lot more special. Having a celebration like Halloween brings us appreciation for seasons and the excitement, but having Easter in the same way, we kind of leave out consciousness of what we appreciate. For myself, I’d like to understand the culture and “feel” the significance of the day like you did, when celebrating Easter. :)

Thank you so much for your correction. I could understand the usage of verb in this case. While composing these sentences, I felt a bit strange. Your comments really removed my strange feeling to the sentences I made.

The kazoo isn’t expensive. I bought the set of 4 kazoos for about €5. The kazoo is played professionally in jug bands and comedy music, and by amateurs everywhere. It is among the acoustic instruments developed in the United States, and one of the easiest melodic instruments to play, requiring only the ability to vocalize in tune. During Carnival, players use kazoos in the Carnival of Cádiz in Spain and the Murga in Uruguay.

You’re right. Musicians are not allowed to perform on trains in Japan.

Thank you for your editing and comments. It is nice to be able to read your opinions too! The part you wrote "The handwriting on the wall for the younger generation is unavoidable," is a creative phrase! It reminds me of a public wall near a tourist place where people used to write random comments. Sometimes future wishes were written. What I feel living in Japan is that people are rather accustomed to non-Japanese people (in social/cultural aspects). Perhaps there might be some hidden prejudices still, but I guess it has become more natural to have foreigners around in some work places and in the city (except the language barrier). Many governmental officials (and general people) in Japan are conservative. It is hard to see how Japan might change in a long term if a lot more immigrants enter in the country. The governments are trying to only accept those who are not in the simple labor force. Though, such restrictions are too limited, and soon there would surely be a change. Warm regards, ~charcoal
