Thank you for your corrections. As you wrote, I should've chose the word "hut," "shelter," or "cabin" instead of "camp." I also learned in what situation I can use " take it in stride." Let's hope we wouldn't be stranded on our own :-D

Hi Teacher Ellie, Thank you for your detailed correction. Yes indeed, I should have answered the text question correctly. Also it is difficult to write a sentence within limited number of words. I'm looking forward seeing you again. Best Regards mykent

Hello, Ellie My father really hated funerals as well as tombs. My mother arranged his tomb after his funeral, but I do not think and am sure that he is not there . He is somewhere else where he doesn't suffer from disease anymore or swim in the sea. He grew up in the country along the coastline and loved the sea. Like my father, I don't like funerals and tombs. If I die, I don't need neither of them. Best Regards, Hiroko.

Dear Ellie, Thank you for your corrections and your original version as always! I felt relieved to know you have the same idea as mine in terms of rituals. I was a little bit afraid of your reaction to my thought, because I believe that Christian basically have a strong belief in the existence of the split of the departed and have a lot of respect for religious rituals. As for your corrections, "While living with them, during Obon, I usually went to the graves of our ancestors with my parents in order to clean them". seems like I went to the graves in order to clean my parents, though everyone understand what you are saying from the context. I have never washed my parents' body in front of the graves! I am looking forward to haveing your lessons shortly! Regards, Tinkle

Dear Ellie, Thank you for your prompt and detailed reviews plus your original version as always. I heard that a baby chick in an sperm egg might feel a pain after the fourth day from egg production. Therefore, though, I know, most of eggs in the markets are infertile eggs, I used the expressions that "they are killed" and "they can feel a pain. " I am sorry for beling lazy to explain the background behind my thoughts. I am looking forward to having your comments on my text which I submitted to you today! Best regards, Tinkle

Yeah, we’re observing Obon. You know a lot! However, actually, its starting date varies within different regions of Japan. When the lunar calendar was changed to the Gregorian calendar at the beginning of the Meiji era, the localities in Japan reacted differently and this resulted in three different times of Obon. "Shichigatsu Bon" ("Bon in July") is based on the solar calendar and is celebrated around 15 July in eastern Japan (Kantō region such as Tokyo, Yokohama and the Tōhoku region), coinciding with Chūgen. "Hachigatsu Bon" (Bon in August) is based on the lunar calendar, is celebrated around the 15th of August and is the most commonly celebrated time. "Kyū Bon" (Old Bon) is celebrated on the 15th day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, and so differs each year. Anyway, our family’s is "Shichigatsu Bon" ("Bon in July".)

I remembered some expressions that I forgot by reading your example sentences. Thank you. By the way, I'm sorry to read your story about your business. I'm not sure which is better, take a risk or play it safe. This is one of my questions that remain to be answered.

Thank you for your sentences, which are much better than mine. In Japan, I don't think parents are punished by not attending to their child for a few minutes. Actually, there was a TV program covering a child's first shopping/outing alone. Viewers enjoy watching the little (2 to 5 year-old) child overcoming difficulties on their way by their wisdom and people's help.

Thank you for your detailed comments. I always enjoy your comments on my thought as well as on my writing. A plant has two meanings. One is a factory and the other is green thing. I used "plants" as the former one and you did "plants" as the later one. Interestingly, both of them make sense. I am looking forward to having your lesson soon! Best regards, Tinkle

Thank you for correcting my essay this time too. I learned a lot of new things this time too. And, although always think to try to use next time what I learned by you, it is difficult to use them and I will always use my phrase. I should practice more in order to master new phrases. I read over again the sentence that you pointed out the sentence "We understand how nuclear weapons influence on the world and in the future, [but we get priority to live comfortable now without war].". I cannot also unfortunately understand... I am so sorry, maybe I got exhausted. Perhaps, I wanted to write "Although we understand how nuclear weapons influence the world and the future, we give priority to living a comfortable life after all." I will do my best. Best Regard,
