Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I mean fast and slow learners. In Japan, English is the best example of this difference in learning speed. Differences in the English learning speed of individual students are directly linked to their scores. I believe that school suthorities should encourage students to have both classroom lessons and online one-to-one lessons to raise their English skills. Thanks to IT education, students can have more chances to develop their abilities. Therefore, teachers accept digital gadgets to learn subjects. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I am glad that you have a beautiful print on cloth that is now adorning a table in your living room. I'm happy to hear that Japanese culture is spreading overseas. Manga and anime were the catalyst for spreading Japanese culture around the world. Until then, these works were considered children's books, but Japanese manga and anime developed this concept. Nowadays, manga and anime are one of the entertainments like movies. Along with this, ukiyo-e and Japanese paintings are also attracting attention. Paintings convey messages beyond words. I think that paintings and music have great significance in internationalization because messages can be shared between different people. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. My favorite Japanese food is sea food that contains a variety of fish and shrimps. Since I am living in Noto penisulae, there are a lot of sea food here. Due to its freshness, any kind of cooking, such as raw fish, grilled fish, boiled fish, and fried fish, is pretty delicious. Before I moved here, I was in Kyoto where fresh sea food is not palatable. Once I started living in a coast region, fresh sea food make me sea food enthusiast. I can not help eating sea food here because of the delicacy of sea food dishes. My place belong to northern part of Japan that have snow in winter. The coldness of winter brings melty taste of sea food derived from fatty fish meat and shrimps, resulting in its greasy but light texture. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. In Japan, there is a difference between day care center and a nursing home. Before the real situation of nursing homes was cleared, it was said that elderly people had better be put in the residence. However, when local governments constracted the facilities and exhorted the elderly to move to the facility, a variety of serious problems was revealed in Japan. Since many of the elderly have deterioration of cognitive impairment, they have difficulty getting along with new frinends in the nursing home. Quarrels, harrasments, and a lack of silence due to deterioration of communication ability are frequently occurred among elderly residents. To pacify these nuisances and troubles, sedative drugs are prescribed to those elderly who cause these problems. As a result, the elderly who receives sedative medicines lose their energy, resulting in apathy at the nursing homes. Given the importance of such sad circumstance, the elderly people who have good relationships with their families tend to live at home as much as possible, while attending day care centers every day during the day time to reduce the burden on their caregivers. Once they becomes bedridden condition, it is common that they are moved into the public nursing home under the public system for the elderly care giving. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Vacant houses are a big problem in Japan as well. Particularly in rural areas, young people often move to cities and only the elderly live there. If an elderly resident dies of illness in such a situation, the house will be abandoned and its owner will no longer be known. Vacant houses are a source of crime, so people need legislation to strengthen the real estate registration system and reduce the number of vacant houses. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Apart from newly developed residential areas, many places have their historical relics. When it comes to traveling, it is common that people visit places they have never been before. However, it is also fun for them to visit the city where they live, as there is a lot of rediscovery. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. As for a heatstroke alert, the Japanese meteorological agency has started sending messages to individual smartphones. Usually, the alerts was provided at the night before or the morning of the day so that those who receive messages can avoid strong heat which is common in the afternoon. However, there is a limitation of this program since the elderly are not familiar with usage of smartphones. In case of them, their families should take care of them to prevent heat stroke. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
