Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Even in Japan, it has been getting cold for three days now. A cold wave returns just before spring as usual, and temperatures drop for about a week. But then spring will be used to come, so people don't have a hard time. Spring is almost here. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Yes, I mean to convey their intention immediately. I am in accord with messages should be precise and direct so that I can easily catch them while driving my car. Occasionally, when messages are a bit longer like two lines, I fail catching the redundant information and involuntarily I cannot help but wonder what was displayed for several seconds. Naturally, my focus in front of vehicle becomes distracted. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I know two popular Japanese singer who suffer from disabilities. They are now very popular singers in Japan. One person is Satoshi Fukase, who suffers from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. The other person is Kenshi Yonezu, who suffers from autism. Despite having developmental disabilities, they have continued to create masterpieces and have gained much popularity among young people in Japan. The way I see it, the internet has drastically changed to make those who have disabilities popular. Before the dawn of the internet, no singer cannot become popular without acceptance of music companies. So such talented singers cannot get chances to publish their songs because they have much difficulty having good relationthip with music companies. However, thanks to the internet, everybody can upload their songs and get popularity among people. I believe that the Internet has helped people with disabilities develop their talents. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. As regards "have hand in hand", I mean the situation of the popularity of the Japanese anime. Thanks to expansion of the internet, people in the world watch Japanese anime with English subtitles. When opening songs play with Japanese lyrics, users enjoy listening to the songs' melody without understanding lyrics. When the Japanese singers go on world tours, audiences have hand in hand to enjoy music and dancing together. I mean that "have hand in hand" means such condition. However, I should have written walk hand in hand. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. In my opinion, Sapporo city, which is the prefectural capital of Hokkaido, is the most-organized city. Since the city government formulated an urban development plan in 2000, the population density has been increasing mildly and has been guided into the urbanization area at that time. Thanks to these instructions, the urban area has been regulated not to become overcrowded. Additionally, in 2006, an ordinance was established for most of the city that sets maximum building heights in order to maintain an orderly city landscape. Subsequently, the authority has made progress in managing town development plans for each region and working towards redevelopment of commercial areas. As a result, Sapporo becomes the most orderly urban areas while preserving historical heritages. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Many conflicts and new problems continue to be occurred in the world, such as the war between Palestine and Israel, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and North Korea's nuclear proliferation. They are very sad and gloomy news. However, this information should be reported so as not to hide the lives of the innocent victims. I believe that continuous news reporting can solely stop the shallow political decisions by government officials. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. My dad was one of the persons who kept the idea of traditional patriarchy, resulting gender inequality not only in household chores but also in female empowerment. It was thought to be a standard in his era. As you know, Japan is an unique nation that maintains a spirit of harmony while individuals practice self-repression not to bother others even their friends and families. Maintaining the harmony is considered to be critical both at workplaces and at home, and insisting one's opinion is considered as selfish. Even today, this traditional custom remains strong and pervasive in Japanese society. As a result of strong advice by the UN to the Japanese government around 1980, Equal Employment Opportunity Act was reluctantly legislated. Since it was not actively established, the law didn't have any fines and penalties to violators at first but it was just as a kind of slogan at the beginning. Subsequently, as the number of female workers who can work better than male workers increases, the circumstance of Japan has transformed little by little. Consequently, sexual harassment is recognized to punish those who should be punished such as 6 months in jail at maximum. Although the penalty of the act is still light like the fine of $1200 at maximum, bosses and superiors have to make a effort to stop harassment at workplaces nowadays. There should be things to develop the society to realize gender equality in houses. In my case, my mom was one of the talented students who graduate university in 1960's when only 10% of female students are enrolled into universities at that time. As she could have a qualification of nutrition and worked in a hospital. After one and half year passed, she got pregnant at her age of 23 with my dad. My mom were forced to give up working anymore because she became a mother and had to follow a custom that obligate mother should not work and must look after babies in any case. Although she was talented, it is only one and half year that she could work. After quitting her job, she suffered from a sickness at the age of 36, she couldn't work for good due to blindness. Until she passed away, she repeatedly regretted that she wanted to work more. She was so sad and I strongly understood that having a job is a part of basic right of individuals. Now, I have my wife and two sons. I always active to sharing household chores with my spout. I continuously instill into my sons to practice house tasks as a matter of course. I strongly hope that women who hope to work out should be allowed with fair share of house chores to increase happiness in a family and a society. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Hayao Miyazaki's movies are very interesting and contain many messages. In the real world, conflict and hatred never end, but it is the power of love and hope to overcome such difficult times. In order to have a better future, each person must become independent and wiser. His films are always philosophy by itself. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
