Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Linguistically, Japanese language is known to the language which does not have subjects and objects frequently in sentences. In particular, such tendency is obvious in daily conversation. Since our culture instill residents in having the importance of peaceful atmosphere in daily life. As a result, people avoid to mention "who does" and "whom is done", so that they elevate calm and uneasy circumstances. Although such condition can help people collaborate in farming and fishing, which were main professions in Japan before, modern society of Japan already don't match to the traditional customs. As businesses globalize, our society also should transform by developing Japanese language with clarifying subjects and objects. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I understand that I should not write 'will' after 'if'. When I use 'will', I should use it before 'if'. By the way, since Japanese prefer eating seafood very much, there are already several zones around Japan to proceed aquaculture. Although the industry can increase the amount of seafood, local fishermen are frequently annoyed by the dirty seawater neighboring the areas. Therefore, local governments start intervening in preventing the deterioration of seawater quality. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Yes, the tolls of expressways are expensive. As for tolls of roads, there a variety of cases such as expressways, toll highways, and toll fee on some bridges. In generall, the tolls of expressways impose relatively expensive cost. Take for example, when you drive from Tokyo to Osaka on expressway, you pay around $90. When you drive Hokkaido( northern part of Japan) to Kyusyu( southern part), authorities impose you to pay around $300. Although you can save time by driving on the expressways, the cost is still high. So people usually use bullet train if they travel alone such a long distance. On the other hand, when a family consisting of parents and two children, the toll is divided by four, resulting in not expensive. By the way, local governments frequently build toll highways and rebuild bridges for convenience of local residents. Since such roads and bridges are short distances, the fee is usually $1 or 2 to compensate for these construction costs. Roads are essential for people's lives nowadays, so local governments shoud maintain the condition of roads and do eco-friendly to protect nature. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I understand that I shoud have written " The authorities should tackle the situation of low birth rate. By the way, the day before yesterday, Tokyo metropoolitan goverment anounced that the birth rate of Tokyo in 2023 was 0.99, which declined under 1. It was very shocking news to many Japanese. The number means that some amount of couples gave up starting their families. According to the news report, heavy financial burden for a child result in such conclusion among the couples. Due to less competitiveness of Japanese workers, young couples are said to have difficulty having better forecast in their future. Consequently, they choose having pets like dogs as an alternative option. It is a sad situation for them. The Japanese government should increase support to help the couples who want to start their families without financial anxieties and worries. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I understand that I should have written "there will the price to pay". By the way, I worry that the young rely on the internet and AI too much because information, knowledge, and sugestion are not always reliable. They should raise literacy how to get along with digital information. While becoming wiser, we should pay attention to sustenability of current circumstances. To prevent the deterioration of enveronment, it is urgent for us to tranform our society eco-friendly so that I believe that human beings can continue prosperous situation with AI. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I am sorry for the trouble that your friend was involved in. Japan has very few immigrants, so they are not very aware of the importance of differences in customs. When one causes a trouble to someone, it is considered normal to visit again with a set of sweets to apologize. This is a kind of private compensation. In addition, I think the pregnant woman would have said that it was okay and not to worry about it. Japanese people always give ostensible replies that are different from their true feelings. This is also one of the customs in Japan. However, these unwritten rules are not stipulated by law, so it is very difficult for foreigners to understand. In Japan, the number of foreign immigrants will surely increase in the future, so diversity education about these differences in customs is essential and should be done by the Japanese government. By the way, I also like dogs. After I retire my job, I have a plan to have a dog as a friend of mine. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I usually refer to the recommendations of various medical societies. As Japan ages, the Japanese government has repeatedly encouraged people to prevent illness by improving their lifestyle. As a result, medical societies disseminate various health information to the general public. As long as they follow that information, they will not be cheated by false information. I always gather information about healthy eating and regular exercise. My diet content is almost similar to the Mediterranean diet that consists of seafood, vegetables, nuts, and fruits. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

TeacherEllie_P Thank you for kind words as always. At first, I understand that I should have written "they will not help・・・" or "No one will help・・・." By the way, as for the incident that your friend collided a pregnant woman, Japanese people are taught from an early age to do the same behaviors and attitudes as everyone else. Parents instill in their children that they must not bother others. And parents teach them that if they cause troubles for others, they should go and apologize again with a gift (a sweet snacks worth about 5,000 yen). Although it is not written down, this is one of the traditional customs in Japan. Did your friend who bumped into the pregnant woman go and apologize again with such a gift? If she did not, she may sue the your friend out of spite. Especially when your friend is a foreigner, people may feel that they are an outsider and sue the person. Japan is still lacking in internationalization and diversity. The Japanese government should have classes about diversity education in school curriculum. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Thank you for your feedback. I really love your teaching style as you offer me a lot of alternative phrases. Keyboards used in Japan are similar to those in Western countries. We type Japanese words using Romaji, specific combinations of alphabets, and then hit the space key, by which the words written in Romaji turn to Kanji, Hiragana, or Katakana. There are many Kanji that have the same pronunciation, so we hit the space key repeatedly until the right Kanji is shown.
