Thank you for your advices, Ms. Ellie. I meant both after and before we come back. Just before we come back, we imagine the busy days from tomorrow and feel depressed. And, after we come back, we long for the enjoyable travel days. We compare these days with the daily lives and get depressed. 'Exit strategies' are how to shift our emotional gears without feeling depressed. Have a nice day! Best,

Thank you for your advices, Ms. Ellie. It's still hot and humid in Japan, so I eat a lot of ice pops everyday. I have to be careful not to gain weight ... :P Have a nice evening!

Thank you for your advices, Ms. Ellie. I can't believe that you withstood a temperature of 41℃ without an air conditioner in your house! I'm glad to hear that you could breath in the fresh mountain air. Take care not to get sick in the coming midsummer.

Dear teacher Ellie_P san Thank you for your quick answer to my question. I see. The idiom is "toe the line" instead of "tow the line" "If you want to get ahead, you’d better learn to toe the line." The word "toe" is in Japanese popularly used in the form of "toe shoes". If I want to get ahead in learning English, I'd better to toe the line. I understand this lesson. I need to do what I'm expected to do without causing trouble for anyone. Although it takes a time , I get caught on some words, phrases or sentences you used in your explanations because I'm interested in how natives use them. "hierarchy" "remotely" "mix up his personal policy as a social activist with that of a managing director" "Usually, we don't use 'persons'. We only use it in rather legalistic contexts." "guinea pig" I found the meaning of "guinea pig" saying someone who is used in a scientific test to see how successful or safe a new product, system etc. "What we can assume from this fact" "getting that fat paycheck" "From your writing, I gather that you don't think--------" It's my first to know the meaning of "gather" except "collect." Thank you again for your inspirational corrections. Best regards, ie1133 --------------------

Thank you for your great corrections and I really appreciate it. I recommend you to read GRIT written by Angela Duckworth. Interestingly, there is a measure which assess how gritty you are. And in the book, you can compare yourself with mean score in American people.
