Hello, Ellie_P, Thank you very much for your correction, and it is very kind of you that you even checked the Internet to be sure of what I meant. I named 'Rain Day' for my imaginative holiday, just because it would be in June, and Japanese people usually associate June with rain. Maybe 'Refreshing Day' would be better!

Thank you very much for your corrections. I heard that a few cups of coffee are good for our health. So I will continue to drink some coffee every day.

Hello, teacher Ellie_P! Thank you for correcting my mistakes! And here is my answer to your question. I distance myself from "a/ Those who are drinking coffee while I am in their presence". But one thing that I wanna emphasize to you is I just exaggerated in the sentences in order to make my thoughts clear-cut and just wanted to try to use the phrase "distance myself from~" which I've just studied recently even though I said I distance myself from them... So, I hope you keep enjoying drinking coffee. But I don't recommend that you drink coffee while you are on train which the bathrooms aren't installed ! Also, it's icing on the cake that my sentences made you interested. Your correction is very helpful for my study, thank you very much. I'm gonna appoint you and let's enjoy English adventure. Sincerely Kennichi

Hi Ellie, Thank you so much for your message. It's funny story! But, yes... it's a bitter one at the same time. I find myself trying to be more polite in the States than I did in Japan. As to the tips to get along with others when you are abroad, some people say "Just be friendly" or "No need to worry about grammar" However, in fact, as I'm not very confident with my English, I'm worried whether my remarks would be rude or not. Having said that, when I have to talk something in front of my colleagues, for instance, when making a presentation, I can't keep thinking about that, and I should have made them feel bad by using incorrect words. Now, remember you said "No need to apologize for your writing. I find it both interesting and well organized. No one is born speaking another language; we learn by trial and error."? I'm really touched and encouraged by your words. I really appreciate the effort you put when correcting my English. Thank you,
