The book that taught me the importance of environmental protection is "Silent Spring" which is an environmental science book by Rachel Carson on 1962. All kind of fossil fuels will deteriorate atmosphere when they are burnt. Apart from renewable energy, hydrogen energy is a sole alternative material which don't produce greenhouse gases. However, hydrogen energy is difficult to store and handle, so it is not yet practical option now. Further technological innovation is necessary for the widespread use of hydrogen energy. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. Japanese people also cerebrate Christmas but it is not for religious belief. As western cultures, particularly TV dramas and movies, influenced Japanese citizens to have a fun time on December 25th as Christian people do. Without praying the belief, they want to enjoy a happy family time with their children or lovers. Consequently, there is popularity for people in Japan to cerebrate Christmas with fried chickens and strawberry cakes that are symbolistic items on the day. The Christmas is regarded as a one of the routine events to do, but New Year's holiday is the most important event for Japanese. Parents urge their children living in remote places to come back to their family houses, and children travelled to their parents homes to have family reunion. So, there are huge congestion to be observed at air ports, central stations, and highways everywhere on December 29 and 30. It seems that the New Year's holiday to have a family reunion is much more important than the Christmas in Japan. Congestions at these transportation during the year-end and New Year holidays are a common scenery. Thank you for corrections that are useful to me. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. I know two popular Japanese singer who suffer from disabilities. They are now very popular singers in Japan. One person is Satoshi Fukase, who suffers from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. The other person is Kenshi Yonezu, who suffers from autism. Despite having developmental disabilities, they have continued to create masterpieces and have gained much popularity among young people in Japan. The way I see it, the internet has drastically changed to make those who have disabilities popular. Before the dawn of the internet, no singer cannot become popular without acceptance of music companies. So such talented singers cannot get chances to publish their songs because they have much difficulty having good relationthip with music companies. However, thanks to the internet, everybody can upload their songs and get popularity among people. I believe that the Internet has helped people with disabilities develop their talents. Teacher Ellie_P Thank you for kind words as always. In my opinion, Sapporo city, which is the prefectural capital of Hokkaido, is the most-organized city. Since the city government formulated an urban development plan in 2000, the population density has been increasing mildly and has been guided into the urbanization area at that time. Thanks to these instructions, the urban area has been regulated not to become overcrowded. Additionally, in 2006, an ordinance was established for most of the city that sets maximum building heights in order to maintain an orderly city landscape. Subsequently, the authority has made progress in managing town development plans for each region and working towards redevelopment of commercial areas. As a result, Sapporo becomes the most orderly urban areas while preserving historical heritages. Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Best regards, 5971mak
