Actually, I wanted to write as below and changed the sentence because the original sentences said that "the next 100 years" is important and doesn't matter if humanity will thrive for the next 100 years or not. "It would make sense in a sentence like "I believe that humanity will thrive for at least the next 100 years" ("at least" means we could thrive for an even longer period of time)."
