Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.
Message from the instructor
I am a native English speaker and I have also spent time learning several foreign languages. I do understand the necessary steps that are involved with learning a language. I like to help people understand more about the English language. In order to become more confident in reading, writing, and speaking in English, it is necessary for each individual to gain a good appreciation of grammatical rules. It is also important to understand the most natural way to express thoughts and intentions in English. I will provide informative corrections to help build understanding and confidence and maximize potential and language fluency.

Dear NicolaJH sensei, Thank you very much for your review. I still make mistakes on grammar, so it is really helpful! It is surprising that the weather in Newzealand is like spring. I am worried about corona virus but also concerned about the climate change. I hope you have a really good night. Best wishes, Hitomi

Dear NicolaJH, Thank you very much for your precise corrections. I'm sorry that I was not able to send you stars earlier. I've been busy, but pretty well! I hop you are doing well, too. Schools reopened in the area where I live on the first of June, and my kids started studying at school again, although it's just a short time. I'll send you another piece of writing soon! Have a nice evening. Sincerely, nmkh

Dear Nicola JH sensei, Thank you very much for correcting my email! It became very natural and smart. I wish I will be able to write composition like this ! That is great that you haven't had any new coronavirus cases in 12 days. In Japan it is a bit increased. We still need to be careful. Please take care. I hope you have a nice day tomorrow. Hitomi

I didn't know that New Zealand has a storm and haevy weather in winter. In Japanese winter we don't have storm and heavy rainy but mostly clear days . Please keep warm and take care. Dear Nicola JH sensei, Thank you very much for your correction. I learned a lot from you. That is a good news that your country has no new corona infected patient. But I think that opening the border needs a long time. Now self-restraint was lifted in Tokyo. I hope that we won't see a second wave of infections too. Please have a good night! Best wishes, Hitomi

Dear Nicola JH sensei, Thank you very much for your reviewing. I am always happy to learn method of formal writing. I am spending a nice day. Thank you! It is not compulsory to wear masks in Tokyo too. But government suggest people to wear masks and they sent two masks for each families. I think it is no problem not to wear masks if people are not so close eachother. Please take care! Best wishes, Hitomi
