Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.
Message from the instructor
I am a native English speaker and I have also spent time learning several foreign languages. I do understand the necessary steps that are involved with learning a language. I like to help people understand more about the English language. In order to become more confident in reading, writing, and speaking in English, it is necessary for each individual to gain a good appreciation of grammatical rules. It is also important to understand the most natural way to express thoughts and intentions in English. I will provide informative corrections to help build understanding and confidence and maximize potential and language fluency.

Dear NicolaJH, Thank you for your quick responses to my text. Now, I understand how to use "as long as". The difference between "as far as" and "as long as" is not easy to learn for Japanese because there is the same pronunciation for both phrases in Japanese. I would like to master the natural flow of English writing by learning in IDIY. Sincerely, Bearmatsu

Hello, NicolajH. Happy new year. It's nice to see you here again. Thank you for the corrections you made on my essay. Your nice comments make me so happy. The third sentence was not easy for me, but when I read your sentence I found that you understood what I meant to say. On the other hand, the forth sentence of mine, I think, doesn't make any sense. You introduced new words and expressions, such as, in haste, eliminate the plague. Have a wonderful winter holiday Hoping to see you soon again. Yoko
