Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.
Message from the instructor
I am a native English speaker and I have also spent time learning several foreign languages. I do understand the necessary steps that are involved with learning a language. I like to help people understand more about the English language. In order to become more confident in reading, writing, and speaking in English, it is necessary for each individual to gain a good appreciation of grammatical rules. It is also important to understand the most natural way to express thoughts and intentions in English. I will provide informative corrections to help build understanding and confidence and maximize potential and language fluency.

Dear NicolaJH sensei, Thank you very much for your corrections. These are very helpful and useful! I am sorry, I wanted to say Taiwanese Hamburger. Its buns are steamed so it is fluffy, and it has stewed pork inside the buns. It was very tasty. Please take care. Have a nice day tomorrow! Best wishes, Hitomi

I appreciate your simple and clear explanation. Sample sentences written by you were helpful for me to understand grammar. I used the word, "feature." I wanted to say, "Although there are a lot of important people in history, only a few people are taken up in history by writers." I don't understand why "feel" is wrong, so I'll research it on the Internet.

Dear NicolaJH sensei, Thank you very much for your corrections! I learnt correct grammars. I am glad to know the natural sounds. I have played the Koto for 4 years. I am still at a beginner level but I am enjoying it. I heard many places have abnormal weather. For example, China got 24 people dead in the cross country race due to the sudden weather change. Moscow had snow yesterday but today it is 23 degrees. Please take care! Best wishes, Hitomi
