Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.
Message from the instructor
I am a native English speaker and I have also spent time learning several foreign languages. I do understand the necessary steps that are involved with learning a language. I like to help people understand more about the English language. In order to become more confident in reading, writing, and speaking in English, it is necessary for each individual to gain a good appreciation of grammatical rules. It is also important to understand the most natural way to express thoughts and intentions in English. I will provide informative corrections to help build understanding and confidence and maximize potential and language fluency.

I agree with the ban of feeding pigeons. I do love animals, but I don't like that the public place becoming dirty. Public places should be cleaned by government forces since people are apt to do what they want, and they usually don't care about cleanliness. Pigeons' poop and food increases the presence of other harmful animals which can contribute towards the spread of infectious diseases. Furthermore feeding animals without any responsibility can destroy the environment and the eco system in the long run. Excessive pigeons make a lot of noise and eat up insects. Punishment is the one way but also government should launch a teaching program for citizens to keep the city clean. 添削結果 I agree with the ban on feeding pigeons. Dear NicolaJH, Thank you very much for your correction and kind message! I studied English for three month at a language school in Christchurch over ten years ago. Your message reminded me those days. Regarding stealing salmon, that was a very thrilling experience because the place where I was took to was very close to a salmon hatchary. They work for 24 hours a day during the salmon season; if you make some noise, you will be found and reported to the police. It was a scary activity for a non-thrill seeker. Again, I really appreciate your help as always. Best regards, Ayako Nara
