Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.

Dear NicolaJH, Thank you for your quick review! It is cloudy today, and there are gloomy news about corona virus on television. But I really enjoy writing essays and getting feedback from you. I learned a lot today too. It seems that more people have the awareness of environmental issues in your country than in Japan! I always bring my shopping bags to supermarkets but sometimes forget to bring them to book stores or drugstores. I've got to used to this new rule early! I hope you will have a good evening and a fun weekend. Take care! Best regards, gemini65516

Thank you, Nicola ! Your prompt feedback is appreciated and your corrections to my writing really helps me to learn natural flow of writing in English. What I like about your advice was to use the expression “would rather not”. I would never come up with this expression by myself. I will practice using it in writing as well as speaking. Your advice was really useful ! Thank you ! and have a good night ! loquat66790
