Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.
Message from the instructor
I am a native English speaker and I have also spent time learning several foreign languages. I do understand the necessary steps that are involved with learning a language. I like to help people understand more about the English language. In order to become more confident in reading, writing, and speaking in English, it is necessary for each individual to gain a good appreciation of grammatical rules. It is also important to understand the most natural way to express thoughts and intentions in English. I will provide informative corrections to help build understanding and confidence and maximize potential and language fluency.

Dear NicolaJH sensei, Thank you very much for your quick corrections! These are really clear. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the time at your parents' house. I don't take my cat to my parents' house since he is very sensitive and scared outside. I had put a lot of food and water while I was not at home. Have a great week starting tomorrow! Best wishes, Hitomi

Thank you. I had a so-so good weekend. I always exhausted on Fridays, so I wanted to take a rest on Saturday or Sunday. But I couldn't do that this weekend.

Dear Nicole JH sensei, Thank you for your corrections! These are very helpful. I had a nice day as I worked from home and ran in the morning. My cat is good, thank you! He doesn't like warm weather. He lies on the floor to cool himself. I am sorry to hear that you had a cold day! Please take care not to catch a cold! I wish you have a wonderful weekend! Best wishes, Hitomi
