Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.
Message from the instructor
I am a native English speaker and I have also spent time learning several foreign languages. I do understand the necessary steps that are involved with learning a language. I like to help people understand more about the English language. In order to become more confident in reading, writing, and speaking in English, it is necessary for each individual to gain a good appreciation of grammatical rules. It is also important to understand the most natural way to express thoughts and intentions in English. I will provide informative corrections to help build understanding and confidence and maximize potential and language fluency.

Dear NicolaJH sensei, Thank you very much for your corrections! I realized that I used some verbs incorrectly. I agree that cooking can be art. There are a lot of chefs who are really skillful and master craftsmanship. I wish I could enjoy cooking as you do. But I enjoy eating a lot! Please take care! Best wishes, Hitomi

Dear NicolaJH sensei, Thank you very much for your corrections! They are really helpful! I think it is not that popular in Japan unfortunately. Because it used to be a kind of family business and you need to be a sdisciple. Now european instruments are pupular. The trainers are old and limited! Thank you always!I hope that you will have a really relaxing weekend too. Please take care! Best wishes, Hitomi

Dear Ms NicolaJH, Thank you very much for your really helpful and feedback and many useful expressions and tips! What is a shame is that I made the same mistake about Oxford comma as in July and you should have made the explanations again... Have a lovely week!

Dear NicolaJH, Receiving advice from you was a great help. I sincerely appreciate your correction. I learned when to use the past perfect tenses. I understood the use of "which" and "that" as well. When it comes to articles, they are still tricky for me. I will keep on trying! Best regards, nekohige33

Dear NicolaJH, I really appreciate your expert correction! Now I understand the difference between "an issue" and "the issue of something". I often make mistakes with singular and plural, so I will try to be more watchful. Thank you again. Best regards, nekohige33
