Certifications
I am a native English speaker. I have taught the English language for many years. I have a Diploma In Proofreading and Editing and a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. I have also learned several foreign languages myself so I do understand the processes involved with learning a new language.
Announcements
English is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. It can also be challenging. However, I provide easy-to-understand instructions so that a student can get a good understanding of the English language. I like to provide lots of examples of different grammatical concepts so that students can see the way we use different words and phrases in sentences. I am a very friendly person, and I look forward to helping people improve their skills so that they can become more confident in their ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I have many interests and hobbies. I really like animals. I also really enjoy music and I play the flute. I am very keen on reading, especially novels and non-fiction books about history. I also like to cook and I find baking lots of fun. I have done some overseas travel. I have been to Australia quite a few times and once I visited the Cook Islands. I am really interested in learning other languages. One of the other languages that I have studied is Japanese. I really enjoyed it. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from other countries. I am a very friendly person and I do like to talk with people and help them when they are in need.
Message from the instructor
I am a native English speaker and I have also spent time learning several foreign languages. I do understand the necessary steps that are involved with learning a language. I like to help people understand more about the English language. In order to become more confident in reading, writing, and speaking in English, it is necessary for each individual to gain a good appreciation of grammatical rules. It is also important to understand the most natural way to express thoughts and intentions in English. I will provide informative corrections to help build understanding and confidence and maximize potential and language fluency.

Dear teacher NicolaJH Thank you for reading and correcting my sentences. I later reflected that it wasn't good to write too specific about what I didn't like. From now on, if I disappointed, I'll try to do fun as soon as possible and do not complain. I’m looking forward to learning from you again next time. Sincerely Challenger2016

Dear Teacher NicolaJH Thank you for reading and correcting my sentences. You asked me the meaning of “I have to be keeping a room in my mind” in my sentences. I’m not sure the appropriate expression of it in English. But I wanted to express “I should continue having emotional leeway” or “I should have the adequate mental capacity”. I’m looking forward to learning again from you next time. Sincerely Challenger 2016

Dear teacher NicolaJH Thank you for reading and correcting my sentences. I started participating in two online seminars. Academic writing with many abstract terms takes time to understand. I think it will be brain exercises, but I will continue to be careful not to be too tired. Sincerely Challenger2016

Dear teacher NicolaJH Thank you for reading and correcting my sentences. Until a few days ago, I had few opportunities to talk to others during my hospital stay and felt alienated. You read the diary I wrote and you helped me correct my English, so my loneliness has been relieved. I look forward to your support during my hospitalization. Sincerely Challenger2016
