Certifications: I hold a BA(Ed) degree and have completed several soft skills courses focused on creating a positive and productive office environment. During my time in the travel industry, I undertook numerous fares and destination training programs. In preparation for my role as a computer teacher, I completed both a coding course and Microsoft Office training. Additionally, I pursued a second degree in Business, although I did not complete it. As part of my teaching career, I also completed a number of courses in child management to better support my students’ development and classroom engagement.
Announcements: I have a deep love for languages and communication. I speak two languages fluently and have studied a third, which has given me firsthand insight into the challenges and rewards of language learning. I understand how much effort it takes to master the finer details of a new language, and I admire anyone who dedicates time and energy to building new skills—especially when life is busy. With seven years of teaching experience, I have learned to be patient, flexible, and encouraging. I believe learning should be a supportive and empowering process, and I always strive to create an environment where people feel confident to grow. Above all, I am driven by a strong desire to help others improve themselves, and I find genuine satisfaction in seeing learners succeed.
Hobbies/Travel: I recently moved to the Western Cape. Since I’ve never lived near the sea before, I can’t get enough of swimming in the ocean or simply watching the waves. I love exploring the rock pools and looking for little fish and other sea creatures. I now live on a large piece of land, where I enjoy gardening and have a thriving vegetable garden. Soon, I plan to plant olive and fruit trees. I’ve been fortunate to travel to approximately 30 countries, with many of my journeys taking place across the African continent. One of my favourite destinations is Morocco—it was so different from my beloved South Africa and left a lasting impression on me. I also love spending summers in the south of France, where I can enjoy the sunshine, the wine, and the food that the French are so famous for. One of the highlights of my travels was visiting Disney World in Orlando, USA, and exploring Cape Canaveral, which I found truly fascinating. Every country I’ve visited has offered something memorable and unique. I never want to stop travelling—there’s always something new to discover.
