Hi there! I'm Sara Rose from New York, specializing in helping learners with practical, real-life English, as well as all kinds of exam/test materials (Eiken, TOEIC/TOEFL, IELTS, etc.), cultural topics and current issues. I especially enjoy reading and explaining topics on travel, the U.S./UK, culture, news, history, music, art, fashion, and all things New York. You're welcome to send in your writing today on virtually any subject and I would gladly check and correct it for you! My proofreading focuses on natural-sounding English by using the most common, latest, or trending words/phrases/expressions, with some difficult/confusing grammar fully explained. If you are an administrative office person, a customer service rep, or a first-time international online shopper, I am here to help you write clear, courteous business email in English, especially for apparel and other general purchases. Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Since I am one of the fish eateries, I earnestly hope that fish will ever regain its past popularity. While fish farming has become a real nowadays such as salmon, mackerel, and tuna, fish farming industry is struggling for prevention of marine pollution. When corporations breed fish in a segragated sea area by using fishing nets, scattered sea food can disseminate into outside of the area through the net. As a result, leftover fish food can damage its sea environment, which can destroy ecosystem in pacific ocean. It is the reason why fish farming is not common yet. To protect our environment, fish farming is strictly regulated. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. According to the government's future projections, 744 municipalities, or 40% of all municipalities, will have less than half of their young female population in the 25 years leading up to 2050, and these municipalities will then face a rapid decline in population and are at risk of eventually disappearing. It is clearly urgent for us to revitalize such countryside areas. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Fair competition for university applicants is indispensable to raise vitality and a sense of fairness among the young. Legacy status of univercity entrance examination was once common over private universities. However, due to a lack of fair competition, it was abolished several decades ago in Japan. Fair competition should be placed as one of the essential part of society to make society activated. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. I understood that I should have mentioned stigma regarding drowsiness and nodding during working hours. The drowsiness can figure out a difference of cultures between westerners and Japan. The nap is commonly appraised among co-workers including their bosses because they think that one work a lot without rest. Having a nap can become a kind of appraise for workers who work very hard in Japan. On the other hand, when a worker feel drowsy or have nodding off, it will make one criticised and one will be seen as an employee who cannot manage by oneself. Having a nap in between can illustrate the difference of cultures. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Yes, I have read "Pride and prejudice", "The Firm", and "Submission" in English. The time to read them in Engish was somewhat stressful to understand by connotation and innuendo, but they were still fun time for me to read. While reading contents in English, I learned how different Japanese think a way from Westerners. Best regards, 5971mak

Thank you very much for your corrections and explanations. They are really helpful and stimulate my brain. Even though it might be hard for me to understand all of them at first, I am firmly convinced that I will be able to acquire the usage of neat English words. I am pleased that there were small improvements in my word choices, such as the phrase, “the insufficient average sleep time.” I would like to increase such accurate expressions in my sentences. I will read your corrections and explanations repeatedly. I appreciate your kindness.

Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Early bird would be beneficial for elementary school children to have a regular daily life, but parents should pay attention to maintaining daily conversation at breakfast. Since many parents are busy for their daily tasks and students do extracurricular activities in the evening and at night, they have difficulty in having communication at supper, resulting students eating alone. As a result, it is common nowadays that they can talk with their children at breakfast. I think that the gap time gained by waking up early should be used to communicate with their parents. Daily conversation is essential for children's healthy growth. Best regards, 5971mak

Dear SaraRoseNY, Thank you for your detailed advice! I learned not only English writing skills, but also historical facts, such as the purpose of using maggots. I used "able" instead of "could" because of your advice the other day, and I got the already negated "unable" this time. I heard the phrase "in the grand scheme of things" for the first time, and it sounds very useful. Finally, "reflect" is also concise and suitable word in this context, so I'll choose it in the next composition. I really appreciate your kind advice again. Hope your great weekend. Best regards, mkawa

Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. Yes, I agree with the negative aspects of online TV and videos. While focusing on their interests via smartphones, many of them will take it for granted that their thoughts and mindset are social standards. Alienating themselves from those who have different ideas, they naturally have difficulty having sympathy and compassion. Due to its convenience and comfortableness, many young adults are addicted to the digital products unintentionally. Therefore, parents and teachers should give warnings to children and young adults about this drawback of on-demand contents. Best regards, 5971mak
