* Please note that I am on leave for a few days and will return on Tuesday 3rd May. Thank you * I really enjoy working for IDIY as an English teacher. I am passionate about languages and respect and admire the enthusiasm and dedication of Japanese learners, who I find to be polite, thoughtful, determined, and hard-working. I return my orders within 12 hours, and often much sooner. I know how frustrating it can be to wait for a corrected document when you have deadlines to meet, so I always aim to return a very natural-sounding version of your writing, taking time over detail and with consideration for your audience and the nature of your document. I have a few regular customers with whom I enjoy exchanging short messages in the message box. I love to learn about Japanese culture and very much hope to visit Japan one day. I would love to be able to help you with your English! Best wishes, Catherine
趣味・好きな国・訪問した国
My hobbies are running, cycling, walking and cooking. I also love to travel and experience different cultures, lifestyles and languages. I have visited Canada, America, South Africa, Thailand, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland, Andorra and Holland. I would love to visit Australia, New Zealand and Japan! I also love to spend time with my family and explore France, where we moved to in 2014. I am married with two children, we have two cats and we live in a very beautiful and rural area in the South of France. In July 2021 we will be moving back to England.
添削へのこだわり・メッセージ
I pride myself on my accuracy when correcting orders. I love to analyse languages and understand the etymology of words. I aim to correct orders in the most natural style possible so that you can learn to write and speak English as a native speaker.

Dear Catherine, I really appreciate your help as always. I guess that your children are talented and outgoing. It sounds cool to speak both English and French! I hear that it is hard to sing a song powerfully in French, for example Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. Is it true? Recently, my boss asked me to translate an E-mail into English. The message was rather complicated though, I could finish it in one hour. Then I realized that I used to take three or four hours to translate the same amount of writing. Thanks to you, my writing skill has been improving a lot. Best regards, Ayako Nara

Dear teacher Catymcd, Thank you so much again for your quick check and kind words! I see why I should use "traveled" instead of "went" in this sentence, that sounds much more natural. Best Regards, chiho0518

Dear Catherine, Thank you for your correction and message! I will be crazy if I have to give up eating meat and daily products. I really hope that it won't happen to you again. I often see some dogs sitting outside of a BBQ restaurant. I wonder why are dogs attracted by the smell of grilled meat, although there's no BBQ in nature. Again, thank you very much for you help as always. Best regards, Ayako Nara

Dear, Catherine, Again, thank you very much for your help! In Japan, especially in Tokyo, African American men are very popular; Girls who are dating with them tend to be envied. Recently, a Japanese comedian impersonated Eddie Murphy with painting his face dark brown. The comedian was condemned from all over the world because that was discriminative. However, many Japanese people didn't understand what was wrong, because they thought African American people were cool. I really appreciate your correction and nice message. Best regards, Ayako Nara

Dear Catherine, Thank you very much for your correction and kind message! I know that some animal rights activists wouldn't take my thought. Actually, we hardly have chances to see animal rights extremist in Japan. So it's hard for me to find out where is the borderline between freedom of speech and taboo. Maybe I'm traumatized by a vegan guy whom I met. Again, I really appreciate your help. Best regards, Ayako Nara
