Thank you for your correction and comments! They were really helpful and useful to me. It's still difficult for me to decide whether I should use singular or plural, but I'll try to acquire it!

Thank you for your correction and comments! I agree with your idea that having confidence all the time is difficult but confidence is something we can cultivate. It's difficult for me now to usually have confidence, but I hope I can cultivate it little by little. Your comments always cheer me up. Thank you so much!
Thank you for checking my English diary. Your explanation about the past perfect tense is very easy to understand! ↓↓↓ "The past perfect tense is good for when you're referring to something in the past that is interrupted or superseded by something else, for example: I had been lying in my bed when there was a knock at the door.' " Thank s a million!
Thank you for your correction and comments! They were really helpful as always. Actually, chestnuts that we Japanese cook with rice is sweet chestnuts, not water chestnuts. It is the same kind to be used for pastries, though I think a Japanese sweet chestnut is not sweeter than a Western chestnut (a marron?). It might sound strange to you to boil rice with a sweet ingredient and eat it as a meal, but it isn't too sweet. We call the rice cooked with chestnuts 'Kurigohan' (Kuri means a chestnut and Gohan means rice), so please google the word if you want to see what it looks like. I like salmon too! We eat salmon both as Japanese food and as Western food. I think salmon is delicious however we cook it. I hope you will try the Pacific saury someday and like it!
Thank you for your correction and comments! The Christmas market in Edinburgh sounds excellent! That must be exciting, large and beautiful! I hole I can visit there someday! Japan is also become bustling in a Christmas season and every shop and institute gets in a 'Christmas mood' (Japanese really like events, irrespective of a religion!), and I like the season very much. Christmas surely makes lots of people feel happy, I think.
