講師からお知らせ
I am adept at grading my language to suit the customer's level and always aim to give clear and easily understandable explanations when correcting customers' texts. I take an empathetic approach to teaching and by offering encouragement as well as guidance, I like to help my customers feel more confident about their writing skills.
趣味・好きな国・訪問した国
My interests are very much arts-based. I enjoy theatre and cinema - I have a particular interest in foreign-language films - and I like to visit art galleries and museums as often as I can. As a former illustrator, my main form of relaxation is drawing and painting. I read a lot too, and although my bedtime reading is usually a contemporary novel, I'm also a keen newspaper reader - my ideal Sunday is being curled up in a comfortable arm chair with a pot of coffee and a newspaper! Since I used to do some work as a tour guide in London, I remain very interested in the city's history and famous literary figures - Charles Dickens is a favourite! I've lived in both Germany and France, and have travelled to several other countries in Europe. I think France is probably my favourite country, as I love both the language and the culture, as well as its beautiful cities and country villages and its varied landscape. I haven't had the opportunity to visit Japan yet, but I certainly hope to do so one day!
添削へのこだわり・メッセージ
My approach to text correction is always thorough, and I aim to clarify the corrections I've made in a way that can be easily understood. Having worked as a TEFL teacher for many years, I have developed a style of tutoring that is both empathetic and compassionate and am therefore adept in being able to give correction in a warm and encouraging manner. I want the writer whose work I am correcting to feel that I have helped them not only to improve their writing skills, but also to feel more confident when writing in English.

Dear Sylvia I appreciate for giving me good advice about my English sentences. Choosing the right articles and prepositions is so hard for a non-native English speaker like me. Your kind advice will certainly improve my English. I also feel that some people who succeed in life are too assertive to irritate others. A person's strengths can also be his or her weaknesses. Best regards, kiwano64444

Dear Sylvia, Thank you very much for your correction and kind advice. The alternations and suggestions are really helpful. Comma and punctuations are a little difficult for me, but I would like to master them little by little. In Japan, you do a karaoke in a private room: you can sing just with your friends or family, you may be able to relax when singing. I went to some karaoke bars alone and practiced singing by myself. I am very shy, too. Please enjoy karaoke when you come to Japan. I wish you the best of luck. Best regards, atsuko5

Dear Sylvia, Thank you very much for your kind advice and correcting my compositions. My sentences are improved remarkably thanks to you. It may take me a lot of time to become fluent in English, but I will keep trying hard. And I will do my best with the exam in September. I wish you all the best. Best regards, atsuko5
