Dear MrsB, Thank you very much for your correction and useful information! Akita prefecture is country side whre is far from any big cities, so people are rather relaxing but still deligent as other people in north east area of Japan. I think that this conbination is also good for studying. The cram school man said that many parentas in Tokyo don't respect teachers because their educational record is much higher than teachers'. So the students' attitude is much different from Akita students'. He insists that is why Tokyo, where people might think that you can have high level education cannot surpass a rural area.
