I see the style of "I am writing to request ---" to avoide being passive in tone and to start with a more direct subject/verb phrase. The tip that single-digit numbers are usually spelled out is also useful information to me. That's an actual writing manner. "By return e-mail", "any further help I can provide" I see and love these phrases. I'm texting this on a small cell phone display with deteriorating eyes with age. There must be further mistakes and I'll be thankful for your cooperation.
