Hello,Desiree. How are you doing? Thank you so much as always. I enjoy to learn with you. It's funny! I used a wrong word, ' pick up.' I caught the phrasal verb in an American TV drama, and thought it meant 'choose', but it's not. If I used the phrasal verb in a real conversation, I would have been embarrassed a lot. It's interesting that you rewrote 'we're' and 'it's'. I am going to use them instead of 'we are', 'it is', and so on. See you soon again. Kind regards Yoko

Hello, Desiree. How are you doing? Thank you for the corrections and meaningful advice on my essay. I understand what you mean. I will try not to write the obvious, but probably that will be quite a challenge for me. When I write English, I need to aware of the difference between English and Japanese. In Japanese we often omit "the obvious", and sometime even a subject is not written in a sentence when it is obvious. As I thought English is different, I tend to add obvious information to make sure it makes sense. I think I need to read or listen English more to understand its natural flow and sound. Anyway, thank you for the advice, you are the first person who told that to me. Hoping to see you soon again, or otherwise, have a wonderful holiday. Yoko
