Doctors issue prescription. "crisis" is a countable noun, so needs "a" before it. On the other hand, "addiction" in the 2nd sentence has two usages, countable and uncountable, according to my dictionary. So do many other words. Those words are very confusing. Maybe, I need to understand its precisely matching meaning to the context. Thank you for pointing out my spelling mistake, "disease" and "decease", that's a significant difference.
