講師からお知らせ: I am a Canadian-born native English speaker now residing in Costa Rica. I have a university degree and a post-graduate certificate in G.I.S. (Geographical Information Systems) from McMaster University. I have visited many cultures for extended periods of time and teach children English in an area where there is no opportunity to practice. I understand the frustrations and excitement of learning a new language and way of thinking. My proofreading style encompasses three areas: 1) checking your English for grammatical errors and use of everyday English; 2) making sure your meaning comes across to the reader even though it is crossing both language and cultural differences; 3) offering suggestions to improve the style and construction of your composition. Your corrections all make perfect sense to me. Yes, the inflation and recession are hurting us, like you said. However, lately, I see peculiar phenomenon, a huge number of foreign tourists in Shibuya, Tokyo. Because of the weak Yen, everything is inexpensive in Japan for foreigners. At a regular restaurant, a popular set lunch costs ¥1500, that is about US.$10. That must be a way to cheep for Americans. I can easily imagine how fun it is!
