Dear Maryanne san Thank you for your advice and informative answers. I see the examle of "a car, a tree and the driver." One thing I find interesting is this: whether a person is familiar with a thing or not is a matter of subjective recognition,while whether a person knows that the car has only one driver is a matter of objective fact. I mean, the writer or reader is not familiar with who the driver is, but they know logically one has one unique driver, then "the" comes. Thank you again for you kind correction.
