Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. The criminal law places great importance on precedents in Japan, and sometimes decisions are made that are far from the public sentiment. By having participation of the lay judges in trials, the proceedings can be discussed more objectively. I believe that the situation where police force confessions through aggressive interrogations will decrease, and fair trials based on evidence will increase. Best regards, 5971mak

Teacher SaraRoseNY Thank you for corrections that are helpful to me. I understand my conclusion regarding social media topic was abrupt and no evidence was mentioned. I should have mentioned that several local governments enacted regulations as bylaw with fines to parents to stop children's smartphone addiction. Although some people doubt the effectiveness of the bylaw, the legislation could affect parents to pay attention to the addiction. In particular, when children behave delinquency and misconduct with their smartphones, the police will harshly criticize their parents. In Japan, parental supervision is considered more essential than a child's right to freedom. Best regards, 5971mak
