Although my wife have a cough, she has no fever and other symptoms, and my daughter and I are fine. In Japan, we had consecutive national holidays from 3rd to 6th May. We call this week as "Golden Week", and many Japanese enjoy going travel or leisure activities every year. However, as the novel coronavirus spreading around Japan, most of us stayed home during the holidays. I almost stayed home except for taking a walk to the nearby park with my daughter. Writing this email reminded me of the days that I started working as a physician after graduating from medical school. I remembered how nervous and helpless I felt in those days. Fortunately, thanks to my coworkers, I managed to get through the tough times. I have a sympathy to the new recruits and freshmen started their new lives this spring because things are changing rapidly due to the outbreak. I hope the situation will be back to the normal soon!
