My daughter and her husband planed to come home in the end of this year, but, we are still not sure if they will make it. We haven't seen each other for two years, so I miss them so much. My mother is 92 years old, and lives in an elderly care home at remote town. Because of the restriction of the elderly home, we have hardly seen each other since the pandemic occurred. Fortunately I met her a month ago, and we were so happy. I always think how long and how many times I can share time with her considering her age. It is a very sad situation. In the 3rd sentence, you wrote "go on to live a life with new challenges". I understand what you meant to say. He doesn't have two lives, meaning that his life continues just going to a next stage. In the 4th sentence, "a more ordinary life" is, I think, a better choice than "a usual life". because, When Ayumu was an athlete, he still had an usual life as a man, and which might have been a bit of less ordinary life than a life that people have, though.
