Hobbies/Travel
My passions are reading, writing, theatre and cinema. I go to the cinema or the theatre almost every evening, as I have a blog where I review the many plays and films I have seen. I also enjoy hiking, going to the gym and playing tennis - but I won’t pretend I’m as good at sports as I am at teaching! I enjoy visiting other countries, especially when I have the chance to immerse myself fully in another culture by living and working somewhere new. I have been lucky enough to spend time teaching in the USA and Germany, as well as in the UK. There is so much to explore in our world and I continue to do so! Eight years ago, I moved to Scotland, and I have fallen in love with both its cities and its scenery. It is a beautiful place to live.
Message from the instructor
Hello there! I am a highly-qualified teacher with thirty years’ practical experience (as of 2024). I have taught English and Drama in the UK, the USA and Germany. I love teaching because I like engaging with other people and sharing my passion for the subjects I excel in. I also love learning, and have continued to study throughout my working life. My text correction style can be either drastic or minimal, formal or informal. I am happy to help you with whatever level of feedback you require.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. You wondered why I wrote 'Long holidays'. Let me explain. Japanese have several long national holidays on May, August, and December to January. I wrote about these holidays.( Of course you don't know, I'm sorry) They are about five days in a row, Japanese people tend to travel, go back to their home town etc.,all at once. That's why overcrowding occurs during this season. Traffic jam happen in other holidays too, but especially these seasons are worst. I think this is bad habit of Japan. In my opinion, I don't want such a long national holidays three times a year. Because everywhere are crowded in these holidays. Instead, I want Japanese companies to allow us to take long holidays anytime so that people are able to travel easily and less stress. But this is much more difficult, because these holidays are related to Japanese culture. Anyway thank you for your correction again. See you next time!!

Thank you for your correction, they are very helpful. I am happy that I get to know some words I didn't know, and the way to say natural. You go to the cinema two or three times a week!! it sounds nice!! You can watch films easily at home nowadays, like Netflix, but watching at cinema is different. The sounds, the huge screen, you can focus on it more than at home. And I like the smell of popcorn too! See you next time!
