Hobbies/Travel
My passions are reading, writing, theatre and cinema. I go to the cinema or the theatre almost every evening, as I have a blog where I review the many plays and films I have seen. I also enjoy hiking, going to the gym and playing tennis - but I won’t pretend I’m as good at sports as I am at teaching! I enjoy visiting other countries, especially when I have the chance to immerse myself fully in another culture by living and working somewhere new. I have been lucky enough to spend time teaching in the USA and Germany, as well as in the UK. There is so much to explore in our world and I continue to do so! Eight years ago, I moved to Scotland, and I have fallen in love with both its cities and its scenery. It is a beautiful place to live.
Message from the instructor
Hello there! I am a highly-qualified teacher with thirty years’ practical experience (as of 2024). I have taught English and Drama in the UK, the USA and Germany. I love teaching because I like engaging with other people and sharing my passion for the subjects I excel in. I also love learning, and have continued to study throughout my working life. My text correction style can be either drastic or minimal, formal or informal. I am happy to help you with whatever level of feedback you require.

Thank you for teaching me kindly. Regarding "Grit", I searched it again whether it is an acronym or not. According to a certain page about "grid" online said so in Japanese, but not original. I couldn't find the other page said the same way. So, it may not be truth. I wrote an essay recently, and I said " there are full of false information online, so we should be careful". This is saying to me! That's why I should better to be able to read English. I'll keep learning next year too. Thank you for your message about British/ American English. I'll try to avoid using British way/ American way in the same work. I hope you'll have a great new year!!
