Hobbies/Travel
My passions are reading, writing, theatre and cinema. I go to the cinema or the theatre almost every evening, as I have a blog where I review the many plays and films I have seen. I also enjoy hiking, going to the gym and playing tennis - but I won’t pretend I’m as good at sports as I am at teaching! I enjoy visiting other countries, especially when I have the chance to immerse myself fully in another culture by living and working somewhere new. I have been lucky enough to spend time teaching in the USA and Germany, as well as in the UK. There is so much to explore in our world and I continue to do so! Eight years ago, I moved to Scotland, and I have fallen in love with both its cities and its scenery. It is a beautiful place to live.
Message from the instructor
Hello there! I am a highly-qualified teacher with thirty years’ practical experience (as of 2024). I have taught English and Drama in the UK, the USA and Germany. I love teaching because I like engaging with other people and sharing my passion for the subjects I excel in. I also love learning, and have continued to study throughout my working life. My text correction style can be either drastic or minimal, formal or informal. I am happy to help you with whatever level of feedback you require.

Dear Susan, Thank you very much for the rewriting and correction, I did not expect to receive so thoroughly written feedback. It was really helpful and educational, beyond the level I was hoping for. I would like to thank you for your kind words too. Let me request your service when I write another piece of writing. Thank you!

Thank you for your kind instructions as always. Some errors I made were basic errors. I should be more careful!! I got to know these; "transportation" is uncountable noun and methods of transport in the singular! We learn American English in school and American spelling is more familiar than British one, but I'll try to adopt it! I look forward to work with you next time!!

Hi, tutor Susan. Thank you for your kind instruction. There is a small discovery. You aren't sure that the tie has not "regimental" pattern, and I wondered why. When I wrote this work, I didn't know what to say this pattern so I googled for words "sloping""pattern". And then I got the answer "regimental pattern". I didn't checked the meaning the word 'regimental". I looked up again and I found out it is red and blue striped pattern(mostly) taken from the British regimental flag! This was new for me! Yes, I agree with you and this tie isn't really regimental pattern, and what I wanted to say is "diagonal stripe". ( I hope this sounds natural) See you next time!

Dear Ms Susan, Thank you very much for your really helpful feedback!! Thank you very much for letting me a lot of useful expressions and alternative expressions. It is very interesting to know that English has such a wide variety of expressions to convey similar things, but in subtle way. More I learn English, more I feel that the language is beautiful.
