Thank you so much :)
Dear Marsha Thank you so much for the corrections you made on my essay. The sixth sentence, "some peculiar family names" I was not sure which adjective is appropriate for it, peculiar or particular. Actually, "peculiar", the one you chose, was my first choice of word that I came up with..... But my dictionary says peculiar is "strange, unfamiliar, or a little surprising, especially in a way that is not good" It has some negative meaning, then..... I know dictionaries are not perfect and sometimes their description doesn't match the one people have. Thank you, I like your choice since it must be the real word people use. I enjoyed studying with you. Stay safe and healthy. Yoko

Thank you so much for your correction and explanation! According to the 3rd sentence, I should have written it with the present simple because there is the word "now" in it. I will choose the tense carefully. Best regards.
