I think I understand what you said: some native speakers might find it unusual to see British/Australian vocabulary being mixed in with American spelling. When come to think of it, I feel strange when there are Chinese characters both it is used in Japan and not in Japan in the same sentence. ( Actually when you travel abroad, we often see those sentences) Probably it is the same as the feeling when you read a sentence mixed in with British and American spelling.
