Throughout my managerial years, I had to review, edit, and refine subordinates’ written submissions. My areas of expertise are reviewing documents, reports, email, essay, and summary writing.
趣味・好きな国・訪問した国: In my free time, I enjoy nature walks and bird watching, which help me stay grounded and inspired. I collect tree leaves, dry them, and document them with their names in a journal. I love travelling and exploring new cultures. During my working career, I visited several African countries and vacationed with my family in the UAE, Europe, South America, and Asia. I have lived in the USA, Germany, Morocco, and Australia. As a result, I am culturally diverse and can naturally connect with people from various backgrounds.
添削へのこだわり・メッセージ: The Journalism & Media Studies Bachelor's degree enabled me to acquire strong, versatile communication skills and equipped me with various advantages such as good interaction skills, the ability to create well-structured reports, proposals, business cases, executive submissions, and presentation skills. I endeavour to make communication accessible to the lay person, using simple yet engaging language whilst adhering to correct grammatical expression and punctuation. English words tend to have many synonyms, but each synonym has a different nuance in meaning. I always attempt to suggest the word that provides a meaning closest to the context in which it is used. In essay editing in particular, I like to suggest different ways of starting a new paragraph to make the essay interesting and engaging. Incorporating simple and complex sentence structures adds to variety and intrigue. Overall, my focus in correction is clarity, accuracy, and effective communication.
