Message from the instructor
Hi, Welcome to IDIY and thank you for choosing us! I spent the past seven years working with college students as their virtual mentor. I am excited to help you improve and strengthen your English skills. As I proofread, I will be looking for inconsistencies of style, grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors. My goal is to help you improve your natural expression and proficiency with the English language. I am open to all levels of ability and any individual request for degree of correction. I look forward to working with you!

Teacher Marie Chabot san Thank you for your detailed answers. "Of " indicates "the realm", "to" means "directionality. " and "that" is being used as a conjunction to a sub-clause. That sub-clause expresses a hypothesis awkwardly and passively due to being rendered using a past tense. I think I see your points. By the way, Changing "to be from 100yen to 70yen" to "to be 70 yen down from 100 yen" interests me very much. In the Japanese collocations, the latter will not come up. Thank you again.

Dear Marie Chabot, Thank you for your support. I need to deal with hay fever in Spring season. Some Japanese are really in trouble because of hay fever. Thank you again. Best regards, Akihiro

Dear Marie Chabot san "First-born children are sheltered, so overachieving younger siblings easily pass them in accomplishments." =I see. I know "sheltere" in the phrase of "food, clothes and sheltere," but new to me in such context as being warmly taken care of and protected. "Overachieving " is new to me. I could not find this word in my dictionary, but I can assume that over plus achieving makes the meaning like exceeding. "Accomplishment" sounds a useful word to me, which I will try to use. "Brown-nose" is used in an informal context. "follow their parents' wishes" instead. =I see. The word"follow" sounds good. Thank you and best regards,
