Announcements
* Please note that I am on leave for a few days and will return on Tuesday 3rd May. Thank you * I really enjoy working for IDIY as an English teacher. I am passionate about languages and respect and admire the enthusiasm and dedication of Japanese learners, who I find to be polite, thoughtful, determined, and hard-working. I return my orders within 12 hours, and often much sooner. I know how frustrating it can be to wait for a corrected document when you have deadlines to meet, so I always aim to return a very natural-sounding version of your writing, taking time over detail and with consideration for your audience and the nature of your document. I have a few regular customers with whom I enjoy exchanging short messages in the message box. I love to learn about Japanese culture and very much hope to visit Japan one day. I would love to be able to help you with your English! Best wishes, Catherine
Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies are running, cycling, walking and cooking. I also love to travel and experience different cultures, lifestyles and languages. I have visited Canada, America, South Africa, Thailand, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland, Andorra and Holland. I would love to visit Australia, New Zealand and Japan! I also love to spend time with my family and explore France, where we moved to in 2014. I am married with two children, we have two cats and we live in a very beautiful and rural area in the South of France. In July 2021 we will be moving back to England.
Message from the instructor
I pride myself on my accuracy when correcting orders. I love to analyse languages and understand the etymology of words. I aim to correct orders in the most natural style possible so that you can learn to write and speak English as a native speaker.

Dear Catherine, Thank you very much for your correction and encouraging me to make my dream come true! When I was young, I often went have a drink with my co-workers. That was so much fun to me and our teamwork also developed a lot by knowing each other. However, I hear that young people don't want to have a dinner or drink with people from their workplaces nowadays; some people think that it is a harassment to be asked to drink by senior workers. Time has changed... Again, I really appreciate your help as always. Best regards, Ayako Nara

When I checked about good looking man in English, “hotties” appeared. I don’t want to use this word because it sounds like younger word!haha Really? It was playing in 2017, so it’s a little old movie. I also recommend Bollywood movies for you. It makes us positive, I think. Thank you for your checking:)

Thank you very much for correcting my e-mail sentence! Your comment for 'XS was remained only one' was very useful, because I have not noticed my mistake. My intents was 'there was only one pair in size XS remaining'. Additionally, many rephrased example is also helpful to learn deeply. I am happy to get your English check. Thank you & see you again.

Thank you for your checking and always kind words!! I’m glad that you knew Goshuin! Oh, I hope so, but I can’t speak well. I’ll do my best in this year:) I was impressed you tell me about idiom. I’m not good at useing it too... But I was able to understand why I use “to” better than “about” in this case. 'I can't let them be better than me!'. is perfect sentence! I meant that!! Thank you so much:)
