Announcements
* Please note that I am on leave for a few days and will return on Tuesday 3rd May. Thank you * I really enjoy working for IDIY as an English teacher. I am passionate about languages and respect and admire the enthusiasm and dedication of Japanese learners, who I find to be polite, thoughtful, determined, and hard-working. I return my orders within 12 hours, and often much sooner. I know how frustrating it can be to wait for a corrected document when you have deadlines to meet, so I always aim to return a very natural-sounding version of your writing, taking time over detail and with consideration for your audience and the nature of your document. I have a few regular customers with whom I enjoy exchanging short messages in the message box. I love to learn about Japanese culture and very much hope to visit Japan one day. I would love to be able to help you with your English! Best wishes, Catherine
Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies are running, cycling, walking and cooking. I also love to travel and experience different cultures, lifestyles and languages. I have visited Canada, America, South Africa, Thailand, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland, Andorra and Holland. I would love to visit Australia, New Zealand and Japan! I also love to spend time with my family and explore France, where we moved to in 2014. I am married with two children, we have two cats and we live in a very beautiful and rural area in the South of France. In July 2021 we will be moving back to England.
Message from the instructor
I pride myself on my accuracy when correcting orders. I love to analyse languages and understand the etymology of words. I aim to correct orders in the most natural style possible so that you can learn to write and speak English as a native speaker.

I’m sorry, but I wanted to say that the story helped me to heal. When I asked someone meaning ‘chilly’, she said it also means ‘take it easy’. But maybe I mistaked how to use and spelling. I’m sorry for confusing you!! I was very happy for your words! But I still have many things that I don’t understand. Anyway, I should keep learning. Thank you for your checking:)

I was glad to hearing that you were interested in my explaining about Japan. I wanna introduce about Japanese culture for foreigners, and I wanna know foreign cultures:) Oh!Did you?! Florida is fantastic! I’ve never been to there. Dolphins are so cute and they can give us relaxed. Actually two years ago, I went to Mikura island and I swum with them. I enjoyed that so much:) Thank you for your checking!!

Dear Catymcd, Thank you very much for checking my composition and giving me a nice letter. We really enjoyed eating strawberry shortcake which my daughter likes the best. Japanese strawberries are very sweet and big. I hope you can try them someday:) By the way, I was able to add my English words thanks to you. I had not known 'tiered stand' before you taught me. I always get happy when I meet new English words! Thanks again. Best regard, Sora 86

I didn’t know how to use ’there is’ sentence like “Today there was a girl's festival called ‘hina-matsuri'.” It can use for a event, can’t it? I was glad you could see the Hina dolls:)

Thank you for your checking! Yes, I also imagine some of our company ,especially foreign companies in Japan, are influenced by them. Because they often communicate for foreigners, and they use only Japanese rules but also other countries rules. I think that many Japanese people admire them, so they might be adopting the rules from other countries actively. I hope that it spread more in Japan!

Thank you so much for answering my question clearly!! I understood the difference “in” and “from” for your explanation. So I’ll use them consciously from next time!!! And I made a mistake that I sent a message in question form... Can I cancel that? I’m so sorry:( Thank you for your checking!!

Oh, you might be right! It’s warmer in France than Japan at the moment:) It is 13 degrees in Japan today. Absolutely, it’s chilly. haha I love the warmth too, but if it becomes wamer, hay fever is spreading in Japan. It is terrible... Yeah, I hope that so much, and I’ll buy that DVD too:) I watched the opening show that Adam Lambert sung Queen’s songs. It was amazing too!! Thank you for checking:)

Good morning Caty! It’s fantastic for your children to watch that movie:)!! I had known a few songs of Queen before watching the movie. Because I had watched a drama called “glee” and they often used some Queen’s songs. And my most favorite song of Queen’s was “Bohemian Rhapsody”. But I didn’t know the actors. I heard one of the actors acted Jurassic Park when he was child. Thank you for checking!!:)
