Experienced English teacher from the US, living in Japan
Hobbies/Travel
My favorite hobbies are music, weightlifting, and studying Japanese. My favorite country is Japan, where I live, although I'm from the USA and have family and many friends there. My most interesting visit to another country (besides Japan) was to South Korea in 2011. The highlight of that vacation was visiting the DMZ border of North Korea, which was a very intense experience.
Message from the instructor
My text correction style is somewhat minimalistic, unless a "drastic change" or "formal," etc. is requested, as I do my best to preserve customers' words and ideas, and although I'm strict about grammar and punctuation, I also try to be as intuitive as possible so that my corrections don't result in failing to get the point across that they're trying to make.

Dear Tom, You don't care about the delay. Or rather, I don't even think your reply is late. When I saw corrected sentences for me, you had already finished writing all your postscripts. I appreciate the detailed explanation of the grammar. I have been told many times that I have been using the comma incorrectly. I believe my grammar will be getting better for your advice. Thanks for your sympathy to my mom. My mom's surgery went well today. I am sure you are worried about your mother who lives far away. I wish you could see her from time to time. Regards, Kiwano64444

Thank you for your feedback as always. Actually, I wanted to make my second sentence to list three activities on train! I’m not sure about a home Buddhist prayer room, and it sounds like new to me too. It might be a spiritual something.

Thank you again for your feedback and answering to my question in detail. I’m often confused with “article”and “countable/ uncountable” combinations, so it is very helpful for me to understand!

Thank you for your explanations and suggestions. The test I took was the listening and reading one, not the “4-Skills.” I look forward to taking your lesson again.

I Thank you for your very kind revise and message! It was full of new discoveries. I was actually living in Tokyo some years ago. Hiroshima is so compact and not so rural, that I am spending relaying days here. Anyway thank you for your quick checking! See you soon again! Daichi
