Announcements: I am a Canadian-born native English speaker now residing in Costa Rica. I have a university degree and a post-graduate certificate in G.I.S. (Geographical Information Systems) from McMaster University. I have visited many cultures for extended periods of time and teach children English in an area where there is no opportunity to practice. I understand the frustrations and excitement of learning a new language and way of thinking. My proofreading style encompasses three areas: 1) checking your English for grammatical errors and use of everyday English; 2) making sure your meaning comes across to the reader even though it is crossing both language and cultural differences; 3) offering suggestions to improve the style and construction of your composition. I enjoy working for IDIY and their clients because I enjoy teaching while at the same time it gives me the opportunity to learn about the Japanese culture.
Hobbies/Travel: My hobbies include breeding and photographing horses, horseback riding, making cheese and gardening. My favorite countries are Canada, Costa Rica, and Indonesia. I have also visited the Solomon Islands, the Dominican Republic, Curacao, England, Spain, Italy, Fiji, and the U.S.A.

Wow! You recognize me! Yes, I took a 6 month-break, just being lazy for a while, and come back. It's good to see you, my favorite teacher, again. In the 1st sentence, That's right. Doctors issue prescription. "crisis" is a countable noun, so needs "a" before it. On the other hand, "addiction" in the 2nd sentence has two usages, countable and uncountable, according to my dictionary. So do many other words. Those words are very confusing. Maybe, I need to understand its precisely matching meaning to the context. Thank you for pointing out my spelling mistake, "disease" and "decease", that's a significant difference.
