Dear MrsB, Thank you very much for your correction and useful information! Akita prefecture is country side whre is far from any big cities, so people are rather relaxing but still deligent as other people in north east area of Japan. I think that this conbination is also good for studying. The cram school man said that many parentas in Tokyo don't respect teachers because their educational record is much higher than teachers'. So the students' attitude is much different from Akita students'. He insists that is why Tokyo, where people might think that you can have high level education cannot surpass a rural area. Dear MrsB, Thank you very much for your correction! I'm very pleased to learn natural expressions. When I worked for an university as a Japanese teacher in China, I had German co-workers teaching Germany. We enjoyed playing cards once a week at their apartment. They liked to play a very complicated German game that I couldn't fully understand the rule. I was often scolded by one of them, an old lady, who dedicated to the game.
