Hi, Everyone. I'm going to take a break from May 8-15, 2024. [U.S. time] I'll see everyone when I get back on May 16th. Keep writing and enjoy your week!
Hobbies/Travel
My favorite country has to be the United States. Outside of a few visits to Canada many years ago, I am still visiting as many states in the United States as I can. The U.S. has a full spectrum of climates and environments; perfect for someone who wants to enjoy the different facets of the U.S. I am the architect of my life; therefore, my hobbies and interests are as varied as the words in the English language. First and foremost, my love for this planet and everyone and everything on it is my priority. I live with several companion animals, and I learn from my furry teachers every day. I have a working organic garden, and there has never been a chemical used on my property. The earth provides everything I need to grow beautiful flowers, healthy vegetables, and potent herbs. Reading isn't a hobby, it's a way of life. I research and investigate everything I need and want to know. As for other pastimes, I enjoy different types of weaving and have made my own rugs, blankets, clothes, curtains, and anything else I want to make. I am interested in just about everything, and I have taken these interests and expanded my perspective about life and all subjects great and small.
Message from the instructor
I enjoy teaching others the skills that I already possess, but in order to do that, I like to begin with the basics. To have a working knowledge of English, it's important to understand the basic framework of the language. After the basics, then the sky is the limit for learning all the nuances of the English language. I have superior knowledge of both formal and informal English, and I feel comfortable with all facets of the language. As a young person, I was lucky enough to study Latin for five years. Since Latin forms the basis for a large percentage of the English language, it enables me to understand root words and medical terminology with ease. The English language is filled with expressive words. The larger one's vocabulary, the better one can communicate ideas with precision. Reading, writing and speaking go hand in hand to become fluent in the English language.

Hello, Maryanne, How are you? It's nice season in the year, we enjoy pleasant weather, fresh greeneries, beautiful flowers. Finally, people go outside without wearing a mask in Japan. I still prefer to wear a mask the inside of a building, in a train and a station. I think it is not for my safety but for comfortableness between people. Thank you for the amendments you made on my essay. Your comments flattered me a lot, and encourage me to write the next. You gave me some good knowledges, like because can't start a sentence, feelings. I hope to see you soon again. Bye for now. Yoko

Teacher Maryanne san It's very kind of you to take me as a serious student of English. I'm glad to read this. I'm surprised that my self-made phrase "the giving-benefit policy" makes sense. I see "cohesive" is essential for being recognizable to native speakers. One way to make setenses cohesive is using same words, but it's better to avoid repetition, This is the reason why I made this phrase on my own, And the phrase"facing this issue head-on" was moved from "a car crashed head-on." I wasn't sure this combination was used between natives. "Although "of" can indicate a source or origin, "for" can indicate purpose" I get it, "off point," This is exactly what I meant to say. Best regards,

Teacher Maryanne san Thank you for your prompt and concise answers to my question. I think verb's tenses are the most difficult item for the Japanease to learn. I needed to have read your explanations several times before I come to see the meaning of your sentences because your edits are full of natively natural phrases such as "whoever or whatever is performing the action." The action of reading your explanations itself gives me a good chance for learning, which means I am given a chance to learn. In addition above, I'm interested in the nuance of "this", which is appropriate when the reader sees the question. And one more thing, about the verb"estimate", I intended to express my high appreciation to the current chashless payment systems.I was talking about the present now or the past, and not the future. But the "foresee" is new to me and I'll use this verb. Thank you again. Best regards,
